All things that pass through the forest, be it humans or animals, tell a story with the sign they leave behind. Far more than just following footprints, tracking is the art and science of reading and understanding that story. In this 1-day course, we’ll introduce you to the basics of both mantracking and animal tracking, working from the ground up to show you how to build situational awareness, cut sign, locate clues day or night, and get inside the head of what (or who) you’re following. And it won’t be just theory, either: This will be a fast-paced, fun day in the woods working tracking scenarios based on real-life events. Whether you’re a search & rescue or law enforcement professional looking to find your subject, a hunter or wildlife enthusiast on the trail of that once-in-a-lifetime trophy or photo, or just someone who wants to add this vital woodsman’s skill to their toolkit, this course will change the way you look at the woods.
